Veterinary medicine is a third career path for Dr. Sheryll Fonseth-Lais and she loves it!  After many years as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, then a mother of three, she was inspired by her own dog’s illness to pursue an education in veterinary medicine.  She graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002.  Dr. Fonseth has spent many hours as a foster parent for the Humane Society and as a volunteer educator at Como Zoo.  She has been employed at PineRidge Pet Care since March of 2003 and feels this is the best place in Minnesota to provide quality care for our beloved pets.  Dr. Fonseth has a special interest in animal ophthalmology and exotic pets, though dogs and cats are still her favorite species!

When Dr. Fonseth isn’t at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family which includes a fantastic husband, two handsome sons, a gorgeous daughter, one big yellow mutt, two indifferent cats, and a noisy cockatiel.  Hobbies include robust and rapid walks, travel, cooking, gardening, and crafting.  She’s also known to throw pretty terrific parties!
